for each month of this year (I started in March), I’m going to be doing a monthly challenge, where I practice something NEW or the entire month (about 30 days). I didn’t want to preselect all the challenges for the entire year, because I’m always changing and there are always areas of my life that change and some need more help than others at certain times.
let’s start with a recap of the last month and then get into this month’s challenge!
may’s challenge: recap
april’s challenge was to take a walk outside everyday. I didn’t set any specific parameters, just get outside and MOVE. whatever a walk meant – 5 minutes, 30 minutes, and hour. and I’m happy/proud to say that I DID it and I am 100% going to incorporate it into my daily life. it cleared my head, shook out my limbs (especially on heavy desk work days), and smelling the fresh air lifted my spirits! I felt inspired after the walks.
sometimes I’d take Luca on the walk, sometimes I’d just walk on an errand (instead of Uber-ing), and sometimes I’d just walk around my building. all types of walks, all good walks.
I’m SO happy about this challenge, and I encourage other work-from-homers to try it out!
a new month, a new challenge! it’s something I NEVER do and I know it’s good for me. and it’s something I can measure (perhaps with a before and after picture.) I’m committing to ten minutes of stretching a day. there are great YouTube stretching routine videos, so I plan on using those until I find my own routines. I feel like I’m so cramped up from sitting a lot, all I do with the baby, and I’m just not limber. I never even stretch after workouts! so here we go, stretchy Ali!
what will your may challenge be?
