my favorite nursing bras

last week, I had the second part of the photoshoot for my second cookbook (coming out in spring 2018!) I had Luca on set so that I could nurse him (we’re not yet using bottles!) since it would be too obnoxious to change bras in between outfit changes and nursing, I decided to wear a nursing bra. yes, I’ll be wearing a nursing bra in all of the photos of me in my upcoming cookbook!

now, I wear two types of nursing bras. one is not very supportive, but super, super comfortable (I wear it around the house.) the other nursing bra is very supportive (the one I wore during my shoot.)

here are my two favorite nursing bras:

very supportive

hot milk lingerie’s ‘show off’ nursing bra (amazon or on their site) in a 36FF

bravado designs silk seamless nursing bra (amazon or on their site) in XL

let me know if you have any great nursing bra finds!

I got a four pack of bras off Amazon for less than $20 – the brand is Lataly and they look like the third picture you posted. I’ll be honest, wear them all day, everyday, to work and everything. They’re probably not the mosy flattering, but the “real” bra I️ have is too uncomfortable (and was professionally fitted for) and I’m not in the mood to deal with mastitis!

Dairy Fairy is great! They’re cute and have slots for hands free pumping–less set up makes it so much easier! ????

I also use the comfortable ones you mentioned. They are great. It’s important to note no underwrites while nursing. It could cause some clogged ducts. I do miss my underwires but I’ll have plenty of years to use them.

Yup! None of the bras here have underwire!

I’m pretty large chested (36GG/H) so can’t wear a lot of the standard brands. I nursed for 2 years, including one year of pumping at work. Real bras that were nursing/pumping compatible are super important! Once I went back to work at 13 weeks I also went back to underwire and never had an issue. My underwire is so far under my breasts maybe it didn’t matter. Brands that’s have great, attractive nursing bras are all brands that I wear for non-nursing too:
    Panache, Elomi, Freya.

I’ve also heard good things about Cake but haven’t personally worn one. I’m pregnant now and will try that brand out for the next round!

I also ALWAYS order from because they have free shipping/free returns. I order a bunch to try on and return what doesn’t fit. I’ve also heard that Nordstrom will alter any non-nursing bras to be nursing compatible for a small alteration fee (like $10, says the internet!!) but I don’t live near a Nordstrom to try it out =(

I just gave birth as well and I LOVE the last one you posted! I ordered four more the day we got home from the hospital. Great pick.
